HART通信基金会是一个国际非盈利性组织，是HART通信协议——全球智能仪表通信标准的技术所有者和标准修订团队。

（The HART communication Foundation ,an international,not-for-profit membership organization,is the technology owner and standards setting body for the HART communication protocol ,the gloable standard for smart instrument communication.)

基金会成立于1993年，是HART协议的中心机构。HART协议为全球应用HART提供技术支持并保证技术的公开可用性

（Established in 1993,the foundation is the central authority on the HART protocol providing worldwide support for application of HART technology and ensuring that the technology is openly available for the benefit of the industry .)

基金会管理和控制HART标准，包括为工业新需求开发和增强新技术。基金会让全球工业客户了解这一强大通信技术的好处。

大部分的仪表制造商和用户，包括超过200家成员公司，都支持基金会。成员会对所有有志于HART技术应用的人开放。
