剧情简介
1939年二次大战爆发前夕，波兰情报部库兹姆斯基上校为了查清潜伏的德国间谍，秘密组织了一次“车厢行动” ——将波兰陆军上尉阿达姆从巴黎购买的一批武器准备在中途窃走。列车到达华沙后，当局以阿达姆私受贿赂之罪名将其拘留审查。他欲自杀，不久被开除国籍。阿达姆为了生计奔走，但是都因开除军籍找不到工作。后又在一次意外中被警察逮捕。波兰情报部斯坦尼斯上校来到监狱又将他释放了，并要他去了解德国人军事部署的工作。

该片表现了二次大战前夕阿达姆上尉为了波兰情报部默默工作的一段经历。他历尽艰辛，吃尽苦头，颠沛流离。但他忍辱负重，忠于职守，为人民作了很多好事。影片素材丰富，情节曲折，人物关系也比较复杂，之间的斗争也很激烈，扣人心弦。
