概述

故事中20岁的丹尼尔（马克韦伯）在被判罚进行社区服务的过程中结识了8岁男孩宝尼（安东尼奥提兹），宝尼的母亲生了重病，而他只有一位远在达拉斯居住的姐姐。丹尼尔不具备领养资格而他也无法说服自己的父母，为了不让宝尼在孤儿院里生活，丹尼尔只能选择将其“绑架”，带他踏上前去寻找姐姐的漫长旅程，在这过程中丹尼尔和宝尼之间也建立起了不同寻常的深厚感情。
