菲律宾马尼拉亚典耀大学孔子学院

菲律宾马尼拉亚典耀大学是菲律宾最著名的三所大学之一，在菲律宾享有极高的声誉，汉语教学和研究的历史超过20年，有雄厚的研究基础与丰富的教学经验。2005年4月2日，亚典耀大学与中国国家汉办签署意向书，合建孔子学院。2006年10月3日亚典耀大学孔子学院正式揭幕成立，中方合作伙伴为中山大学。

The Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), one of the top three universities in the Philippines, has a high reputation in the community. Its Chinese Studies Program has a history of over 20 years in Chinese teaching and has a strong research base. In April 2, 2005, Ateneo signed the Letter of Intent with the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) to establish a Confucius Institute. The formal inauguration was held on October 3, 2006 with Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) in Guangzhou as the partner university.

孔子学院在大马尼拉市设有亚典耀劳耀拉学院、亚典耀马卡迪市专业学院和青山区光启学校三个教学点。教学办公面积超过1000平方米。各类专职兼职教师共约20余人。自2006年年底挂牌成立以来，一直面向大马尼拉的公众开办汉语学习课程，每年四期，每期学生人数在300人左右，超过20个班级。目前已经开开设了12期，学生人数突破3000人，每年学生均超过1000人。

The Confucius Institute (CI) at the ADMU offers classes in these three (3) venues: Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Ateneo Professional Schools in Makati City, and Xavier School in San Juan City. It has an office space of 1000 square meters, and has a pool of around 25 Chinese language teachers. Since its inauguration, the Institute has been offering year-round Mandarin classes to the general public in Metro Manila. It offers four (4) cycles of classes per year, with more than 20 classes and about 300 participants per cycle. It has conducted 12 such cycles with a total of more than 3000 students.

孔院也承担HSK考试任务，目前已成功举办了三次HSK考试，共有592名来自菲律宾各界的考生参加考试。

CI at ADMU conducts HSK examinations for the general public. To date, it has held 3 examinations, with a total of 592 examinees.

孔子学院每年都在马尼拉举办多种多场中国文化推广宣传活动，如中国春节、中秋节、中国国庆庆祝活动、电影周活动、汉语桥比赛菲律宾赛区预赛、菲律宾大学生中国知识竞赛、中国画展览和现场演示、举办有关中国文化学术讲座等，扩大了中国文化和孔子学院在菲律宾社会的影响。

The Institute also organizes a variety of Chinese cultural activities annually. These include celebrations for the Chinese New Year, Mid-Autumn Festival and, China''s National Day. It also holds annual film festivals, the Chinese Bridge Competition, Chinese painting workshops and exhibits, as well as cultural and academic lectures on China. With such activities that promote Chinese culture, the Institute continues to increase its influence in Philippine society.

孔子学院非常重视菲律宾汉语教师的培训，成立以来共培训各类汉语教师达200多人，其中举办了四届"菲律宾全国高等教育汉语教师暑期培训班"，对菲律宾全国高校汉语教师进行培训。还连续两年到南方宿务市举办"菲律宾中南部中小学汉语教师培训班"，形成了很大的影响。

CI at ADMU continues to place emphasis on training Chinese teachers in the Philippines. Since its establishment, it has trained more than 200 Chinese language teachers. It has conducted four (4) Summer Seminar-Workshops for tertiary-level teachers in the country. This has been attended by teachers from non-Chinese universities and colleges all over the Philippines. A seminar on "How to Teach Mandarin Effectively", has been held for two (2) consecutive years, is designed for primary and secondary school Chinese language teachers in the Southern part of the Philippines. With such seminars, the Institute strengthens its influence on the standard for Chinese teaching in the Philippines.
