踏入70年代，迪士尼继续以[小飞象]、[罗宾汉]等电影音乐叱咤乐坛，而从80年代末期的[小美人鱼]开始，迪士尼更因[美人与野兽]、[阿拉丁]、[狮子王]、[风中奇缘]、[玩具总动员]等竽在金奖与金球奖上大有收获，而且上述电影的主题曲受欢迎的程度，即使用家喻户晓来形容也交不为过。借着公司杨立六十周年的机会，迪士尼特别自1995年起企划推出了[Classic Disney:60 Years Of Musical Magic]系列合辑，收录的曲目可说涵盖了迪士尼历年来所有畅销电影的主题曲与插曲：由早期的经典片[小鹿斑比]、[小姐与流氓]、[仙履奇缘]、[小飞象]、[罗宾汉]，到90年代卖座电影[风中奇缘]、[玩具总动员]、[钟楼怪人]、[圣诞领先惊魂]、[飞天巨桃]等，就连难得一闻的迪士尼乐团游行配乐也收录其中。
