主要研究领域：北方粳稻耐逆性的分子设计和新品种选育

水稻的耐逆性状（盐碱、低温等）一般被认为是由多基因控制的数量性状,但最新的研究表明通过诱变来获得耐逆材料是一条有效途径。本研究组将通过广泛收集耐逆粳稻种质资源，结合人工创制耐逆突变体筛选耐逆供体亲本。通过对耐逆QTLs的精细定位和连锁分子标记设计，采用分子标记辅助选择改良北方主栽品种的耐逆性，提高北方粳稻的稳产性、产量和品质；通过对相关基因的克隆及功能分析，阐明水稻耐逆的分子机理。
